Priorities:

Patient Comfort:

At Dr. Murphy's office we understand that some people are nervous about this new relationship, so we strive to make you feel comfortable. In addition to providing pillows, blankets and headphones, you may choose to activate the massage feature on our reclining treatment chairs. You can even view a movie on our flat screens from your chair! For those patients who still tend to feel anxious during their appointments, we are happy to administer nitrous oxide (laughing gas).

Technologically Advanced:

We have invested in many new technologies that allow Dr. Murphy to make accurate diagnoses and subsequently provide you with treatment that is precise, aesthetically pleasing, and long-lasting. Recent developments in the field of dentistry-- specifically, improvements in our instruments and materials-- make for exciting, innovative possiblities that can transform your smile. From laser cavity diagnosis to intraoral photography to digital imaging, we can involve patients with diagnosis and produce projected treatment outcomes so that you can SEE the kinds of improvements we can make to your smile before we do it!

Of course, technology alone is useless. Dr. Murphy has logged hundreds of hours in continuing education courses and conferences, covering esthetic topics, occlusion, oral surgery, dentures, endodontics, and restorative dentistry.

Patient Education:

Dr. Murphy is committed to the concept of being a life-long student, especially when it comes to the field of dentistry. With new materials being constantly introduced and new techniques or concepts beng developed, learning has to be an ongoing thing. That's why you'll find that Dr. Murphy is always happy to explain what he's doing and why, whether you want a detailed description or just the "jist" of the treatment he is rendering.

Convenience:

We've all been to a doctor's office and had to wait, and wait, and wait. At Dr. Murphy's office, we're actually trying to come up with a new name for our waiting room! We pride ourselves on our ability to stay on schedule and we want to show you that we respect your time. Of course, that all depends upon our patients arriving on time, too...
